The Club supports our Air Force Cadets, Prep School Cadets, and Appointees with projects throughout the year
The Oklahoma All Academy Ball is usually the last weekend in December. Cadets, their dates, friends and family are all welcome to attend. The Air Force Academy Parents Clubs host the ball every third year, and we are hosting in 2007.
The club hosts a Doolie Send-off Picnic each year in June. The picnic gives members a chance to meet the new appointees and their families. Hamburgers and all the fixin's are the menu of the day and an Academy Grad/AF Officer is the guest speaker. All cadets on leave or summer ops are invited to speak and give tips to the appointees. Parents also have the opportunity to comment and appointee parents are encouraged to ask questions.
Firsties (AKA seniors) of currently paid club members are presented with a beautiful, personalized desk clock commemorating USAFA graduation. The club hopes each officer will cherish this keepsake throughout their career!
For several years, our club has actively supported the USAFA Swimming and Diving team during the Mountain West Conference Championships at Oklahoma City Community College. We provided snacks and other items to the team. The club also supports other USAFA teams including baseball, basketball, gymnastics, and others when competing in Oklahoma. Go Falcons!.
The Academy Summer Ops Programalso gives us a reason to invite cadets into our homes and provide access to laundry, food, transportation and just plain relaxing!
During Parents Weekend, many club members sit together during the Falcon Football game to show our support and enjoy the event with friends.
A Treat Exchange is held at the Spring and November/December Meetings supplying snacks to cadets as they study for final exams.
